JAMES SIMENC is an actor, writer, and podcaster who always thought he would grow up to be a scientist. He earned degrees in Mathematics and Creative Writing from UCLA, though he spent most of his time there rehearsing and performing theater. Sadly, much of his homework is several years overdue.
Today James is a regular sketch actor for Conan on TBS. Past exploits include psychotherapy with Jeff Goldblum and role-playing as human furniture with Deon Cole, but he is best known for the many spandex unitards in which he has pranced across America’s televisions. The English language has 11 words for basic colors and James has worn skin-tight bodysuits in six of them. As a voice actor, James works in animation, video game, commercial, and audiobook, and is a prolific dubbing artist with hundreds of TV episodes and feature films to his name, often voicing young romantic leads. He spends more hours in Los Angeles vocal booths kissing his own hand than he would care to admit. In 2017, James fused his academic curiosity for math and science with his love for creative storytelling and launched Digits: a non-fiction podcast exploring stories where math, numbers, and human experience collide. The first season was hailed as a “must-listen” show of the year by IndieWire, and James and his team are hard at work on season two. For more information visit www.DigitsPodcast.com. |
